On Friday the 11th of March 2016, a team of ACOHOF members headed by her Vice President Mr. Viban Maurice visited the victims of the fire disaster that ravaged thirty four (34) homes in the locality and rendered many homeless in the Kovjoo neighborhood of Mbo Nso.

Basic school needs of exercise books, pens, pencils, rulers and school bags were distributed to the pupils of Government School Kovjoo who saw their uniforms, school shoes and didactic materials go into ashes.

The Deputy Head Teacher of the School Shey John thanked ACOHOF for the wonderful donations that will help the victims to come back to the class room to continue leaning effectively. He highlighted the damage caused by the fire on houses, property, food stuffs and to all the dresses and school materials of the pupils of his school.

After the donations at the school premises the ACOHOF Team was led to the main disaster area in the village where over thirty four (34) homes were burnt down to ashes. A large crowd of villages was on ground to welcome the ACOHOF Delegation and from the speeches of the community members, one could actually understand what impact the fire disaster created on the entire village.

Here ACOHOF again donated several bags of used and new dresses and shoes that she had managed to collect from donations of some ACOHOF members and ACOHOF Friends. Mr. Viban Maurice used the opportunity to advise all adults in Kovjoo village to go to the authorities in order to declare and try to obtain new birth certificates and National Identity Cards.

Food items such as hundreds of bags of groundnut, maize, beans and soya beans are yet to be assessed but it was without doubt amounting to several millions.
